Most states will allow you to obtain a copy of your divorce papers if you have the correct information. If the state where your divorce took place is not listed in the state table, then you will need to contact the county where you filed.

Dates of available records shown here are approximate. Your state office may have records going back further in certain circumstances.

All divorce record requests through the state offices are $15 or less, some are even free. Counties often have inexpensive records as well, or free in certain states.

Listed fees are for mail order records, which can take several weeks. If you want your forms faster or by web/email, the fees are higher. Where possible, we have listed the website where you can get your forms via email, fax or pdf.
